One rainy day I started sketching little characters without really knowing what the universe was secretly planning for me. After a few little characters I came up with Sparkle. This cute little fuzzy girl with crazy hair, light pink wings and a heart that glowed when she was happy.
I instantly fell in love with this cute little creature.

Sparkle was born
I had this crazy idea to create a book - a simple baby book about doing things that make your heart happy. After all, that was what I was trying to discover myself.
I had to ask myself....
What made my heart happy?
I went through so many illustrators trying to create a digital image of her. No-one could capture her personality and look the way I wanted. I didn't know how to create a digital image but why not learn. Why not believe in myself to push through and figure it out?
Lots of tears later I figured it out.
It took me a year but I pushed forward and did it. I created Sparkle and am ready to share her with the world.
What Makes Your
Heart Happy?
I believe that within each day we can find little things that make our heart happy. Follow Sparkle as she discovers that it's those little moments that help us even when we are sad.
Young children love finding the three little sparks who hide waiting to be discovered on each page.
